For its rather small size (8,867 Sq. Miles), Belize has an amazingly diverse
topography rich with nature and wildlife. Its low population (a little more than
a quarter of a million people) translates into large expansive areas left in their
pristine and natural state. Its rich Mayan history also means that this entire

The second longest barrier reef in the world also runs along the coast of
